Hey Y’all!!!

A little about me! I began my artistic career at a private art school called Columbia College Chicago, a well renowned film and fine arts college.

After studying film and earning a Bachelors of Arts degree I moved to Los Angeles and was decorating movies and television sets, fun right?! It was really cool to be working on the 21st Century Fox studio lot, I saw Ben Stiller once and almost ran Tony Bennet over with my golf cart. Crazy times! I stayed out there about a year but had to leave once the writer’s strike happened. But that wildly fast paced environment did wonders to prepare me for an apprenticeship at one of the top Architectural and Interior Design Firms once I was back in Chicago.

My eye and love for all things design grew leaps and bounds during my years at the design firm!

I have since spent the following decade refining my skills as an artist and designer in so many ways! I love to create beautiful interiors, paint furniture, and make handmade wooden home décor.  Which for the past few years I have been sharing my love of art and design through instructing Paint Parties and DIY workshops! Then most recently I’ve been teaching kids art classes and I have absolutely grown to love teaching!

It’s a passion of mine to share the arts and help bring our community together through fun and laughter. Because it is so very needed in these times and I cannot wait to share my passion and years of experience with you and your kiddos too!

Join The Art Studio On Main for kids art classes, a fun-filled adult paint party, workshop, art camp or have your kid's birthday be an art pARTy! Can’t wait to see you in the studio!

  Stay creative! ~Christa
